Why we founded ExoBrain
We started ExoBrain in 2023 when AI crossed a practical threshold - capable of doing real work inside real businesses, not just answering questions. The traditional consulting model, built for slower-moving technology, was already breaking against it: strategy decks disconnected from execution, pilots that didn't scale, programmes that couldn't keep pace.
So we built something different. An AI-native partner that collapses strategy, build, adoption, and capability into one integrated system - forward-deployed inside the business, sized for speed, measured in EBITDA.
The technology crossed another threshold in late 2025. Businesses that act in the next six to twelve months will compound two to three years of advantage before the rest of the market has a working programme. That's the window we're built for.

Backgrounds across BlackRock, Accenture, Deloitte Ventures, Janus Henderson, and Schroders - strategic thinking, hands-on delivery, and AI-native capability applied in the same engagements, by the same people. A network of specialist engineers and domain experts sits behind us. Deliberately lean.

Leads the technical edge of ExoBrain, turning frontier AI capability into working systems inside client businesses. AI strategy, product development, and innovation work built across Accenture, Deloitte Ventures, Schroders, and Janus Henderson. Joel sets the technical direction at ExoBrain and works alongside clients during build sprints.

Joost focuses on where AI can improve performance, how to prioritise opportunities, and how to make new ways of working land inside the business.

Builds the agents, workflows, and tools clients actually use day-to-day. Ralph owns the layer closest to the work - individual agents, the workflows they live inside, and the tools the team puts in users' hands. Hands-on engineering, fast iteration, and a sharp instinct for when an idea is ready to ship.
